Akro Scan
Privacy
Updated 7 November 2026
In short
Akro Scan works without an account. Your documents, your name, your signature and your initials stay on your iPhone: ANTANA has no access to them. The app shows no ads, measures no audience and does not track you across apps.
It connects to the Internet at one moment only: when you save a signature, to record the IP address of your connection (see below).

What stays on your iPhone
Scanned documents, saved as PDF files in the Akro Scan folder of the Files app.
The first name, last name, signature and initials you enter in "My details", stored in the app's private space.
The version of a document before it was signed, kept so the signature can be removed.
None of this is sent to ANTANA. If iCloud Backup is turned on for your iPhone, this data may be included in that backup, which is managed by Apple.
Camera and Photos
The camera is used only to scan your pages. The images stay on the iPhone.
Access to Photos is used only to add pages when you tap "Save to Photos". Akro Scan asks for add-only access: it does not read your photos.
Signature and IP address
When you save a signature, Akro Scan queries the ipify service (api.ipify.org) to find the public IP address of your connection. That service therefore receives this address, as with any Internet connection. Akro Scan sends it no other information.
The address is written on the "Signature certificate" page added to the document, along with the date, the signer's name and the document fingerprint. It serves as a record of the signature, at your request, and is not sent to ANTANA. Without a connection, the certificate shows the local network address, or states that it is not available.
Sending a document
When you send a document, it goes through the app you choose (Mail, Messages, WhatsApp…), which applies its own privacy policy.
Retention
Your data stays on the iPhone for as long as you keep it. Deleting a document erases it, and deleting the app erases everything it holds.
Your rights
The General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object. Write to us using the contact form. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
